We picked up a hire car when we arrived at Heathrow, and travelled in a figure-of-eight around England, Scotland, and a bit of Wales, as shown on the map. Click the map for a larger version.
On reflection, we moved around too much: 13 stops in a month is too many, even though the scenery between them was planned as part of the holiday. We enjoyed the week that we spent in a cottage in the village of Pant, on the Welsh border, and it would have been a better holiday with fewer and longer stops.
We start at Minster Lovell. |
