Italy

We left Paris in the evening, taking the night train to Venice. This sounded romantic, but turned out to be uncomfortable: the two-person compartment was small, with nowhere to put our luggage; the toilet was along the corridor; the food in the dining car was very average; and the ride was rough. We learned not to think of a night train again.
