Between Balloch and Pitlochry, we went north past Loch Lomond and through Glen Coe as far as Fort William, then turned east up Glen Spean as far as Laggan, then south to Pitlochry. It was the day that Princess Diana was buried, and the weather in the Scottish Highlands was very windy and wet. So there are not many pictures.
The A82 main road at the pass at the southern entrance to Glen Coe.
A nearby waterfall.
A baronial mansion seen across Loch Laggan, looking remarkably like the one in the television series Monarch of the Glen.
Another baronial mansion, this time Blair Castle.
An old bridge inside the grounds of Blair Castle.
We now forget the exact location of this ruined house and graveyard, but it was somewhere near Pitlochry.
