Wells

The amazing tympanum over the doorway at Malmesbury Abbey.
Grave in Malmesbury Abbey cemetery. If you are wondering how a Wiltshire woman fell foul of a "Tyger fierce" in 1705, apparently there was a travelling circus in town.
  The Royal Crescent, Bath.
The marvellous West Front of Wells Cathedral.
It is magnificent now, but imagine it when the statues and everything else were brightly painted.

  The cathedral choir.
  Ceiling of the Chapter House.

To the right were lodging houses for visiting clergy. The ornate bridge allowed them to get to the cathedral without being exposed to the sinful temptations of the city of Wells.

Then further west into Devon to Lynmouth.
