On the Friday, we wandered around many shops and did not take many photos. We did notice that French schools can be in places that would be very unlikely in Australia. * |

On Saturday, we went to Galleries Lafayette department store and admired the dome. * |

Then a visit to the Musée Cluny, the National Museum of the Middle Ages, with this interesting entry door. † |

On Sunday, we strolled around Montmartre ... † |

and looked at the one windmill remaining in Paris. * |
 |

Monday was our last day in Paris, and also Bastille Day (Fête Nationale). The military parade along the Champs Elysées formed up close to our apartment. * |

We tried to see the parade, but the crowd was too thick, so we wandered off and saw the pond outside the Hôtel de Ville. * |

Then on Tuesday, an early start for the long journey to Boston.
