Lynn and Nick in Europe, 1997

Driving across the western part of the North Yorkshire Moors, we were struck by the amount of drystone walling.
There has been an immense amount of labour involved, over several thousand years.
Modern hay ricks are perhaps not quite as attractive as traditional ones ...
but power transmission lines have their own symmetry.
The impressive inland cliff of Malham Cove.
  Valley in the Peak District.
  Landscape near Speedwell Cavern.

The road into Castleton from the west, following the collapse of the main A625 in a landslide on Mam Tor.
  Part of Castleton village.

From Castleton, we headed west into Caernarfon in Wales.
