Lynn and Nick in Europe, 2002

Paris again, 23-26 August

		Driving from Chartres back to Paris, we stopped to visit the Palace of Versailles, but we could not take photos there. We dropped the rental car at Montparnasse and took a taxi to our hotel on Île St Louis.

		We visited the Musée d'Orsay: very obviously a converted railway station.

		Then we wandered along the banks of the Seine ...
		... to Sainte-Chappelle, built by King (Saint) Louis to house the Crown of Thorns that he had bought.

From Paris, it was time to move on to Italy.
