Between 28 September and 8 October, we travelled around the outback of South and Central Australia. The trip included a five-day tour from Adelaide, and then we flew to Uluru for a three-night stay. The maps below show our journeys: click on them for a larger version.
The main reason for the trip was that heavy rains in western Queensland and NSW had flowed down to Lake Eyre, making it a lake rather than a huge salt pan. We wanted to see this, and the trip just grew from that.
